MEDIA ADVISORY: Award-winning Speakers and Prominent Local Leaders Featured at Annual Conference


What: The League of California Cities 2020 Annual Conference & Expo will convene nearly 1,500 mayors, council members, and city officials from throughout California. The virtual three-day event includes powerhouse speakers and more than 30 breakout sessions related to the challenges cities have faced during a turbulent 2020. The event also includes opportunities for peer-to-peer networking and a virtual, interactive exposition hall.

  • Soledad O’Brien, award-winning journalist, documentarian, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Friday Oct. 9 at 1 p.m.
  • Neil Pasricha, best-selling author, award-winning podcaster and blogger, Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m.
  • Advancing Racial Equity Panel, a discussion on how to advance equity within cities featuring National League of Cities Race, Equity, and Leadership Director Leon Andrews and a panel of city leaders, Thursday, Oct. 8 at 9 a.m.
