The call for proposals is an opportunity to share best practices and innovative approaches, as well as research and information with public works directors from cities and counties across California.
For this three-day event, Cal Cities is soliciting session proposals on topics of importance to public works professionals, including:
- Public-private partnerships
- SB 1
- Use of technology
- Succession planning
- Emergency response
- Bridge topics
Cal Cities has modified its proposal form to accept proposals for different types of session formats, including those that feature interactivity instead of traditional lecture and panel presentation format. Session crafters are encouraged to be creative with their session formats.
Submissions, non-commercial in nature, from any individual, group, business or organization, on any topic are welcome. Sessions may not include sales, commercialism or product promotion of any kind. Ideas need to be fully completed and submitted through the online proposal form
by July 29 to be considered.
There is a limit to the amount of words allowed within the title and description of each proposal. Cal Cities recommends you write your proposal in a word-processing program first and paste the final version into the online form.
