Held virtually over the week of Feb. 1, attendees discovered ideas surrounding breaking topics relevant to their roles in the city and connected with peers from throughout the state.
Due to Covid-19, the conference was held virtually. With that, the conference sessions were recorded and are available for viewing afterwards. This valuable element means – for the first time ever – registrants were able to attend all sessions offered, which covered a wide variety of topic areas important to city mangers.
The event featured over 25 speakers, including powerhouse keynote by technology strategist and certified futurist Crystal Washington, best-selling Author and TED Speaker David Wallace-Wells, and the International City Management Association’s Pat Martel with a panel of experts on promoting civility in times of heightened polarization.
Learning and discussions covered a wide variety of areas: a look back at 2020 for the profession; forecasting what is ahead in terms of remote work technology, retail, and the travel industry; addressing racial equity in the workplace; how to promote civility in times of polarization; and efforts to address housing production and the homelessness crisis.
Attendees also had a chance to connect with their peers on Wednesday during the conference via a morning coffee chat and a wine tasting reception, hosted by the League Partners.
If there are sessions you missed or want to see again, registered participants can access nearly all of the conference sessions until May 2021. If you missed the live event but would like to watch the recordings, you can register at this link
