What to expect at the Planning Commissioners Academy
Sessions delve into critical training on important topics taught by peers and subject matter experts on topics such as:
- Planning commission 101: The nuts and bolts of planning
- Affordable housing
- Findings and conditions of approval
- Conducting an effective and respectful planning meeting
- Legislative updates important to planning commissioners
- Relationship between planning commission, city council, and planning staff

The academy runs 8:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25
; 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday, March 26
; 8:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31
; and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Thursday, April 1
