The League’s three-day annual conference features general sessions, workshops, and networking for city elected officials, department staff directors, and stakeholders throughout the state of California. Approximately 1,800 people are expected to attend in 2020 from all sections of city government including mayors, council members, city managers, city clerks, city attorneys, fiscal officers, and other city staff.
The 2020 Annual Conference & Expo will offer educational and thoughtful leadership sessions across a variety of formats with a roster of over 150 speakers. These sessions will aid city leaders by arming them with the latest knowledge, tools, and expertise to advance their communities and assist officials in their daily roles and operations within their city.
Call for Proposals
Submissions, non-commercial in nature, from individuals, groups, businesses or organizations, on any topic of interest are welcome. The League encourages session proposals to be creative and current in their programming and format.
Session proposals will be evaluated by a spectrum of League members through on online survey. Evaluation is based on broad appeal to all League members, how current and timely the topic is, originality, innovativeness, interactive elements, creativity, thought/discussion provoking, evidence-based, and the avoidance of product/vendor commercialization.

How to Submit
Proposals must be submitted online through the proposal form to be considered. There is a limit to the amount of words allowed within the title and description of each proposal.
