Webinar: AB 1661 Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Available

Join the League and the Institute for Local Government (ILG) for a webinar on sexual harassment prevention training from 1 to 3 p.m. on Feb. 25. 
 
If you need to complete your state-mandated sexual harassment prevention training, this webinar is for you!
 
Webinar attendees must be present at a computer to participate and confirmation of active participation will be determined through a polling mechanism during the webinar. Each attendee must have an individual registration in order to receive a certificate of completion
 
Register Online by noon on Feb. 24. The cost is $25 for League members. Non-member cities and all others will be charged $125.

Background

AB 1661 (Chapter 816, Statutes of 2016) requires local agency officials to receive two hours of sexual harassment prevention training and education within the first six months of taking office and every two years thereafter if the agency provides an type of compensation, salary, or stipend to those officials.
 
Note: The League and Institute for Local Government recommend that city officials consult with their city attorney to confirm this webinar satisfies the requirements of the local agency.
