City Attorney Webinar Available March 19: Understanding the Legal Landscape for the Use of Independent Contractors

February 26, 2020
Employers enrolled in CalPERS have long scrutinized their agreements with independent contractors to ensure they are not “employees” for purposes of CalPERS membership.

But the Legislature’s recent adoption of AB 5 has prompted employers to take an even closer look at their use of independent contractor services.

Join the League of California Cities on March 19 from 10-11:30 a.m. for a discussion on the current legal landscape surrounding the use of independent contractors in the public sector. Specifically, the webinar will cover common contractual scenarios, explain the legal considerations for public employers, and provide practical tips for cities.

Register online  by March 17 at 5 p.m.

Registration is $25 for League members only. Non-member cities and all others will be charged $125.

For questions about how to register for the webinar, please contact Kayla Boutros. For all other questions, please contact Alison Leary.
