The
Save California Streets Coalition has opened the nomination period for its annual Outstanding Local Streets and Roads Awards Program.
Sponsored by the League of California Cities, the California State Association of Counties, and the County Engineers Association of California (CEAC), this awards program highlights cities and counties that are employing projects, programs, practices, and innovative technologies and materials to achieve preservation, safety, and sustainability goals for the statewide local street and road system.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m., Jan. 29. Winners will be announced in late February. Award presentations are still to be determined (due to COVID-19).
Projects nominated should address one of four categories that promote a comprehensive improvement of the local network:
- Efficient and sustainable road maintenance, construction, and reconstruction projects
- Complete streets projects
- Safety or intelligent transportation system projects
- Efficient and sustainable bridge maintenance, construction, and reconstruction projects
Please identify if your project nomination was funded by RMRA funds.
