Cal Cities joins coalition letter to U.S. EPA on the Draft National Recycling Strategy

Cal Cities, RCRC, and CSAC call for increasing manufacturer engagement as a priority for the National Recycling Strategy

December 8, 2020
The League of California Cities (Cal Cities), the Rural County Representatives of California, and the California State Association of Counties submitted a letter to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on their Draft National Recycling Strategy, urging them to focus national efforts primarily on increasing manufacturer engagement in designing readily recyclable products and using recycled materials in those products.

Cal Cities remains committed to working with CalRecycle to find creative solutions to the national recycling crisis and aid local governments in addressing recycling and solid waste issues. If you have any questions, please contact Cal Cities Legislative Representative for Environmental Quality Derek Dolfie.
