The workshop will include representatives from the League of California Cities, and local government officials in the Coastal Zone are encouraged to attend.
Over the course of the last year, several members of the CCG have participated in a sea level rise working group with the commission. This group has produced a
joint statement on sea level rise adaptation planning, which was adopted by the commission in November 2020 and includes goals and priorities for coordination between the commission and CCG for 2021.
The upcoming Local Government Workshop will celebrate the approval of this joint statement, provide an overview of the working group's work program for 2021, and collect public input on goals for the working group efforts. More information about this meeting can be found on the commission’s
website.
