Registration Open for Free Training Series to Discuss Emergency Management Planning and Recovery

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) announced a new, free training series that continues the exchange of ideas on issues that were raised during the 2019 California for All - Emergency Management Summit.
 
Intended for city and county leadership, local emergency managers, and other public safety partners, this bi-monthly training series is co-sponsored by the League of California Cities, the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) and the Institute for Local Government.
 
The sessions will bring together state and local subject matter experts to discuss current emergency management issues and learn effective approaches to addressing these issues.
 
Speakers for this event will include:
  • Alex Pal, chief counsel, Cal OES
  • Ryan Buras, deputy director of Recovery Operations, Cal OES
  • Shari McCracken, chief administrative officer, Butte County
  • Reva Feldman, city manager, City of Malibu

Emergency Management Summit – Training Series
Disaster Recovery Seminar
Monday, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
 
This summit will be offered in person and online. Register to participate. The League has been working closely with Gov. Gavin Newsom's Office and Cal OES to ensure the most up-to-date information on community resource centers and safety guidelines are reaching cities and residents impacted by the shutdowns. For more information please visit the League website.
