The campaign's color, a bright and hopeful turquoise, symbolizes ALA’s work to take lung cancer out of the shadows and help raise awareness to give the attention—and research funding — needed to defeat the disease. From landmarks, to city skyscrapers to Facebook and Twitter profiles — together, we turn turquoise.
Throughout California, at the local level, ALA works with cities who agree to donate services to “light up” City Halls, Corporate Buildings, Fountains, Airport pylons, and other landmarks to raise awareness about this “Turquoise Takeover” campaign and help raise voices to end this public health threat.
