The annual meeting will offer city leaders a three-day educational and networking event and provide opportunities for participants to gain perspectives and knowledge on real issues challenging cities, plus deepen relationships and share with others in similar fields.
During Wednesday at the conference, plan to attend your department business meeting. Department meetings are made up city leaders in similar professions throughout California. Attendees gather to discuss the issues they are facing, hear timely legislation updates, and ultimately find common ground which propels their work on unified department goals, setting the course for positive change within their communities. Mayors and council members, city managers, fire chiefs, public works officers, personnel and employee relations managers and fiscal officers will hold department meetings on Wednesday at 11 a.m. City clerks meet Wednesday morning during their workshop, and city attorneys will meet Thursday morning during a City Attorney Track session.
