The call for proposals is an opportunity to share best practices, innovative approaches, as well as research and information with managers at their largest annual gathering in California.
Geared toward California city managers and others in the profession, this three-day conference includes general sessions, concurrent sessions, and networking. For 2020, managers are asking to hear on topics that includes fiscal sustainability, working fluidly with community groups and councils, pension, infrastructure and leadership in tough times. A copy of
last year’s program is available on the League’s website for viewing.
The League recently added a new type of session format for applicants to submit a proposal for most conferences. Along with the traditional-style panel presentation, applicants can now expand their creative side and select the alternative format option for proposals.
Sessions may not include sales, commercialism or product promotion of any kind. Ideas need to be fully completed and
submitted through the online proposal form by Friday, Aug. 2 to be considered by the committee.
There is a limit to the amount of words allowed within the title and description of each proposal. We recommend you write your proposal in a word-processing program first, and paste the final version into the online form.
