Submit Your Session Proposals for Two 2019 League Conferences: Municipal Finance Institute and Fire Chiefs Leadership Seminar

April 22, 2019
The League is currently soliciting session proposals for two premier 2019 conferences — the Municipal Finance Institute and the Fire Chiefs Leadership Seminar. Both conferences will be held Dec. 11–12 in Garden Grove at the Hyatt Regency.

Session Proposal Submission Process

Submissions, non-commercial in nature, from any individual, group, business or organization, on any topic are welcome. The conference committees will only consider proposals submitted online through the proposal form. Because there is a word limit for the title and description of each proposal, the League recommends that people submitting session ideas first draft the proposal in a word processing program and then paste it into the online form.

The session selection process is highly competitive. You can increase your chances of your topic being selected by preparing a thorough, thoughtful and complete proposal that tells how your session would help local government staff improve their careers and communities. When preparing your proposal consider the following elements:
  • Is the topic new and/or critical for local government?
  • Will this issue stimulate action and further important discussion?
  • Sessions may not include sales, commercialism or product promotion of any kind.
