New Contracts Available to Cities through League-Sponsored U.S. Communities Program

U.S. Communities, the League-sponsored government purchasing alliance, has announced two new U.S. Communities contracts.
McKinstry and Trane has been awarded a contract for energy savings performance services. Graybar has been awarded a contract for electrical, lighting, data communication and security.
The energy savings performance contract was awarded to McKinstry and Trane through a competitive solicitation process conducted by lead agency, Port of Portland, Oregon. The contract term is for six years with a start date of Dec. 1, 2017, with the option to extend the contract for one additional period of five years. 
The electrical, lighting, data communication and security contract was awarded to Graybar through a competitive solicitation process conducted by lead public agency, City of Kansas City, Mo. The five-year contract started on Feb. 1, 2018, with the option to extend the contract for three additional periods of two years each.

McKinstry helps agencies make critical facility improvements that save money, improve energy efficiency and assure occupant comfort as an Energy Services Company using the Energy Savings Performance Contract procurement model. Graybar is a leading distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products and a provider of supply chain management and logistic services. The contract provides:
  • Better overall contract pricing with targeted 5 percent discount savings based on agencies current procurement process;
  • New supplier additions and complete service offering to support product sales; and
  • Volume incentive for participating agencies who meet attainment levels.
