Cities and counties can no longer adopt project lists through their budgets. Project lists can only be adopted by passing a resolution.
Cities must upload adopted project lists to the CTC via the new online tool. May 1 is the deadline to submit project lists for the upcoming fiscal year that begins on July 1.
CTC released a companion SB 1 Program Intake Tool Guide to help explain the uploading process. The League, the California State Association of Counties, and the CTC hosted a joint webinar walking through the project list upload process. A recording of this webinar can be found here. For more information and the CTC’s program submission guidelines, please visit the CTC website.
If you have specific questions regarding SB 1 project list submission, please contact Alicia Sequeira Smith at (916) 651-6143 or Laura Pennebaker at (916) 653-7121.
Resources Available in SB 1 Toolkit
The SB 1 toolkit includes documents that can be tailored to each city and a number of other resources. In addition to a sample resolution, the toolkit has a sample press release and social media posts cities can use to promote their SB 1-funded transportation projects, a sample op-ed, an FAQ and more.
