Call for Session Proposals is Open for the 2019 Public Works Officers Institute

Submit proposals by July 31

The League of California Cities® is now accepting submissions for the 2019 Public Works Officers Institute & Expo, being held April 3–5 at the Paradise Point Hotel in San Diego.
The Public Works Officers Institute & Expo will bring together approximately 475 California public works directors and leaders in April 2019 for a three-day educational and networking event. The is a joint effort between the League and the County Engineers Association of California. 
The two organizations are currently soliciting session proposals on topics of importance to these professionals including but not limited to; storm water, public-private partnerships, SB 1, use of technology, essential leadership skills, emergency response, pavement, and bridge topics. 
The League encourages all individuals with an interest in participating to consult the materials from previous years’ for ideas on topics of interes. Proposals are due by Tuesday, July 31. 
Session Proposal Submission Guidelines
  • Submissions, non-commercial in nature, from any individual, group, business or organization, on any topic are welcome
  • Sessions may not include sales, commercialism or product promotion of any kind.
  • The planning committee will consider the educational value of each proposal and the extent to which it presents new and/or significant information when selecting proposals that will move forward into the program.
