The webinar is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 8 from 10-11:30 a.m.
On Oct. 17, 2014, the FCC adopted its Report and Order that imposes sweeping new federal rules to streamline wireless infrastructure deployment, which will likely go into effect in Spring 2015 regardless of any local moratorium. These new rules will require cities to examine and potentially adjust their local ordinances, practices, and policies for cell sites, broadcast towers, and other wireless communications services before the new rules become effective.
Registrants will hear from Jennifer Whiting, League lobbyist, Robert “Tripp” May, telecommunications attorney with Telecom Law Firm PC, and Javan Rad, Pasadena assistant city attorney, on the impacts of these new rules on cities and tips and suggestions for updating your laws and procedures for wireless facilities applications and approvals. The webinar will also provide an opportunity for questions and answers.
