For the second year, the League in conjunction with its partners, Kaiser Permanente, the Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Cities Campaign and Keenan & Associates are offering the Cities for Workforce Health initiative to support League cities in improving employee wellness. In 2013, a total of 67 cities participated in portions of the program, and five cities were awarded grants towards wellness programming through Kaiser Permanente HealthWorks. The League is looking to expand participation in 2014 by reducing participation requirements and making educational content more widely accessible.
