Registration Open for Legislative Action Day and Preview Webinar

The League has opened registration for its 2013 Legislative Action Day Preview Webinar and Annual Legislative Action Day & Reception.

During this webinar the League’s legislative team will review the top priority bills with impacts for local governments including legislation affecting new economic tools, land use, employee relations, public safety and local control. This webinar will provide members with information needed to successfully advocate on behalf of their cities during the League’s 2013 Legislative Action Day on April 24.

The registration deadline is April 12 at 3 p.m. One connection is allowed per city please. Webinar log-in information will be sent the afternoon of Friday, April 12.

Event information

The League’s Annual Legislative Action Day is a chance for city officials to learn more about currently proposed legislation and advocate for their cities. This year’s program includes an opening general session which will cover current budget issues, the status of new economic development tools, updates on enterprise zones, pension reform implementation, land use, and public safety realignment. Attendees will also have a chance to meet with legislators before the afternoon sessions and evening reception.

The registration deadline is March 29.
