League, CSAC, CalPERS to Hold One Day Session on Affordable Care Act on April 2

The League of California Cities, the California State Association of Counties, and California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) will hold a one day educational session on the Affordable Care Act and what cities and counties need to know about employee health coverage to ensure 2014 compliance.

Register online. Registration is free but does not include parking or lunch. Registration will close on Thursday, March 28. Space is limited so there will be no onsite registration.
This session is intended for senior managers and staff responsible for policy development and management of employee health benefits including human resources, administrators, analysts, pay and benefits, information technology and fiscal services professionals. This is a “nuts and bolts” workshop that will cover technical implementation issues.
Speakers from Alliant Employee Benefits and Hanson Bridgett will provide an overview of the employer mandate and what your agency needs to know to comply with the law and avoid paying penalties.
