    The Planning and Community Development Department needs members to volunteer for various committee assignments throughout the year. If you are interested in serving on a committee and would like to be contacted as opportunities arise, please fill out this form.

    Becoming an active member will help the Planning and Community Development Department have a greater impact on shaping state level policy affecting cities, help develop best practices for the public work profession, and ensure the effective leadership in cities.

    Policy Committees

    Appointed by the department president, each department has at least one representative on each of the League’s eight standing  committees that can provide technical information to the committee as a whole to ensure that the department has a voice in the decision-making process, and make recommendations to the board of directors on legislative and policy issues.
