Join the League of California Cities for four days of educational content and networking at the all-virtual 2021 Planning Commissioners Academy!

Designed for new and seasoned planning commissioners alike, this virtual conference will provide you with information about the roles and responsibilities of a planning commissioner, offer a basic legal and practical framework, and foster relationships with fellow planning commissioners. Now more than ever, the opportunity to learn from and network with each other provides invaluable support.

Taking place March 25, 26, 31, and April 1, this innovative conference will touch on current topics of importance for California cities, including CEQA, how to prepare findings and conditions of approval, the planning commission’s role and responsibilities, diversity and inclusion, leadership, relationships between commission, staff, and city council, key legislative issues, and more. Virtual networking opportunities will be available as well!

Can’t make a particular live session or a full day? In addition to access to all live sessions, session materials, and virtual networking opportunities, registering for the conference grants you access to all session recordings for on-demand viewing for a limited time. Join the League for this can’t-miss opportunity to sharpen your skills as you prepare your city for the future.

Opportunities to complete state-mandated AB 1234 ethics training and AB1661 sexual harassment prevention training are included in your registration fee, and will be offered in the near future. Stay tuned for more details!
