Join the League of California Cities for four days of educational content and networking at the all-virtual 2022 New Mayors and Council Members Academy!

Designed for newly elected officials and for veterans wanting a refresher course, this virtual conference will provide you with an introduction to the services of the League of California Cities, offer a basic legal and practical framework in which city officials operate, and foster relationships with fellow elected officials. Now more than ever, the opportunity for elected officials to learn from and network with each other provides invaluable support.

Taking place Thursdays and Fridays over two consecutive weeks, this innovative conference will touch on current topics of importance to newly elected mayors and council members, including diversity, relationships between city council and city management, effective advocacy, financial responsibilities, and more. Virtual networking opportunities will be available as well!

Can’t make a particular live session or a full day? In addition to access to all live sessions, session materials, and virtual networking opportunities, registering for the conference grants you access to all session recordings for later viewing for a limited time. Join the League of California Cities for this can’t-miss opportunity to sharpen your skills as you prepare your city for the future.

Opportunities for elected officials to complete state-mandated AB 1234 ethics training and AB1661 sexual harassment prevention training are included in your registration fee, and will be offered via webinar in February 2022. Stay tuned for more details!
