League Co-Sponsored Medical Marijuana Legislation Passes Out of Assembly Business, Professions and Consumer Protection Committee

SB 1262 Next Goes to Assembly Public Safety Committee

SB 1262 (Correa) made its first stop in the Assembly this week in a hearing of the Business, Professions and Consumer Protections Committee. The bill, which is co-sponsored by the League and the California Police Chiefs Association, passed out of the committee on a straight party-line vote. The broad support for SB 1262 by local government, law enforcement and patient advocates reflects the belief that its regulatory framework offers the most sensible approach to medical marijuana.
