Are Changes to the State Initiative Process on the Horizon?

On the heels of an earlier report released Oct. 8, the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) held an event yesterday focused on discussing reforming California’s initiative process. The panel discussion featured members representative of the three branches of government: Former Assembly Speaker Willie Brown (legislative), Former California Governor Gray Davis (executive) and Retired California Chief Justice Ronald George (judicial).

Registration for the 2014 City Managers Department Meeting is now open. The conference and hotel registration deadline is Tuesday, Jan. 14. This year’s meeting will take place Wednesday – Friday, Feb. 5 – 7 at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. Register now and ensure your participation in this important meeting.
