Remaining Bills Include Several League Priority Measures
Gov. Jerry Brown has two days to act upon the remaining 69 measures on his desk before the Oct. 13 signing deadline. Of those pending measures, four League-opposed and four League-supported bills remain. As of Oct. 11, the Governor has yet to act on League priority oppose measure SB 7 (Steinberg). Technical Issues Resolved
The League apologizes to members who were recently unable to register for events or purchase publications. The League’s e-commerce and conference registration system was down earlier this week and has been fixed. Cities can now register for events and buy publications.

Social Media by City List on the League Website
Cities are using innovation to grow in many ways, including by connecting with residents through social media. The League maintains a social media list by city on the League website on the Social Media Resources webpage. This list contains city or city department names with links to their known Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Deadline to Submit Applications is Friday, Dec. 6
The League of California Cities’ City Managers’ Department annually presents three prestigious awards honoring distinguished members of the department. Applications are due Dec. 6.
