League of California Cities® Commends Governor, Senate Pro Tem, Speaker of the Assembly and Transportation Committee Chairs on Agreement to Provide Historic Investment in California’s Transportation System

Investment Split Evenly Between State and Local System

A large crowd surrounded Gov. Jerry Brown, Senate President pro Tem Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles) and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) and Sen. Jim Beall (D-San Jose) and Assembly Member Jim Frazier (D-Oakley), chairs of their respective houses’ transportation committees, as they stood on the East Steps of the Capitol today to announce the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017. The Senate and Assembly are expected to vote on the measure by Thursday, April 6, which is the deadline set by the Governor and legislative leadership to complete work on a transportation funding package.
