League Sets Strategic Path for 2016

Approximately 100 leaders of the League’s divisions, departments, policy committees, diversity groups and board of directors meet in Sacramento on Nov. 18-20 and participated in an interactive workshop to develop and set the League’s 2016 strategic goals. The workshop involved city officials from throughout California and built on the success of prior years while developing a guide for 2016 as well.

California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) Schedules Teleconference Meeting to Review Draft Sunset Report to the Legislature

When the 2014 Legislature enacted AB 1147, it directed the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) to submit a report to the Legislature on or before June 1, 2016 that reports on the activities of the council in a number of specific areas and to assess the feasibility of licensure for the massage profession. A draft of the report is due Dec. 8 to the Business and Professions Committees of the Senate and the Assembly, and the CAMTC Board of Directors will review the draft report at a special teleconference meeting on Thursday, Dec. 3 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
