Welcome! The Desert Mountain division is made up of 15 cities in Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Mono and San Bernardino Counties. The League’s Desert Mountain division strives to provide its members with information to assist in providing high-quality service to cities and their citizens.

We encourage you to regularly contact your regional representative, Nancy Cisneros or David Willmon, to share ideas and find out how you can support policy and legislative goals to protect and enhance the quality of life in Desert Mountain cities.

The final 2008 meeting will be held December 4th in the City of Palmdale where the third annual Larry Chimbole Public Service Award will be announced. Previous award recipients have been:

2006 Palmdale Icon and previous Mayor Larry Chimbole
2007 Apple Valley City Manager Bruce Williams retired

The Division will hold their organization meeting for 2009 on December 4th beginning at 4:30 at the Chimbole Cultural Center on Sierra Highway. Followed at 6:30 pm with the Larry Chimbole Award dinner in the same location.
