League of California Cities® Issues Statement on the Passage of Propositions 1 and 2

The League of California Cities® released the following statement from Executive Director Carolyn Coleman on the passage of Propositions 1 and 2.

“By passing Propositions 1 and 2, voters made it clear that it’s time to address California’s housing affordability crisis and provide housing linked to treatment and services to help residents with serious mental illness who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. These investments will help California’s hard-working families and most vulnerable residents, improve the quality of life in our cities and bring an economic benefit to local economies.”

Established in 1898, the League of California Cities is a nonprofit statewide association that advocates for cities with the state and federal governments and provides education and training services to elected and appointed city officials.
