URGENT ACTION REQUESTED: Inform your legislators of the overwhelming challenges your city has faced with the redevelopment dissolution process and ask them to reject the Department of Finance’s (DOF) redevelopment budget trailer bill and use AB 1585 (Pérez), SB 986 (Dutton) and SB 1335 (Pavley) as a more positive starting point for redevelopment-related budget discussions and future state-local economic development efforts.

The California Department of Finance (DOF) just issued three new guidance documents to address the growing list of questions that have arisen concerning the implementation of the redevelopment agency dissolution legislation, AB x1 26. The three guidance documents are marked with a red NEW and can be found on the department’s website.

This week the League was surprised to learn that AB 1692 (Wieckowski) was amended in an effort to unravel key features of AB 506 (Wieckowski), last year’s carefully negotiated municipal bankruptcy bill.

Several of the League's "hot bills," AB 2231 (Fuentes), AB 2312 (Ammiano), and AB 1551 (Torres) passed out of committees this week. All of these bills are opposed by the League.
