New Document and Media Destruction Services Available to Cities through League Sponsored U.S. Communities Program

Complimentary Informational Webinars Scheduled for July 11 and 12

U.S. Communities, the League sponsored government purchasing alliance, is excited to announce the new document and media destruction services contract has been awarded to Shred-it. 
 
This contract award is for three years with the option to extend the contract for three additional one-year periods.

About Document and Media Destruction Services
 
Information security goes beyond firewalls and passwords and you don't want to put your organization at risk with employees putting important documents in the trash or recycling bin. Protect confidential information with these services:
  • Secure Shredding and Information Security. Paper shredding and hard drive destruction allows public agencies to select a tailored program to meet their needs. Shred-it’s secure end-to-end chain-of-custody ensures every step of our process is secure.  
  • Complimentary Security Risk Assessments. In addition to determining secure container requirements (locations, quantity and service frequency), information security professionals will assess workplaces for overall security, optimization and “right sizing,” at no additional cost for customers. 
  • Complementary Services with Stericycle. Contract includes mail back services through Stericycle for the disposal of biohazardous waste material such as medical waste and sharps, as well as universal waste which includes batteries, lamps, and mercury containing equipment.
