New Organic Waste Recycling Program and How it Will Affect Cities Webinar Available on Feb. 5

January 8, 2018
Join the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) and League staff in discussing the impact SB 1383 will have on cities.

SB 1383 (Lara, Chapter 395, Statutes of 2016), established a statewide goal to divert 75 percent of organic waste from landfills by 2025, as part of a strategy to reduce emissions of short‐lived climate pollutants (SLCP) statewide. In response to SB 1383, CalRecycle has released new regulations that will affect how cities and handle organic waste. This webinar will help inform our members of what to except in the future for organic waste recycling and provide an opportunity to ask question and provide feedback to CalRecycle staff.
