Call for Session Proposals is Open for the 2018 Planning Commissioner’s Academy

Deadline to submit is Aug. 14

June 16, 2017
Do you want to help build the 2018 Planning Commissioner’s Academy program?

Do you have an idea for a new or cutting edge session that will inspire and motivate California’s planning commissioners? The League of California Cities® is searching for speakers and session topics for the 2018 conference to be held April 4–6 at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey.

This two-and-a-half day conference is for new and experienced planning commissioners, planning directors, staff and other interested officials, including elected officials, and focuses on current issues and timely topics that will assist planners in their daily roles and operations within their city.

Submit complete proposals through the online proposal form by the deadline of Aug. 14 to be considered by the committee. There is a limit to the amount of words allowed within the title and description of each proposal. It is recommended that proposals are written in a word-processing program first and then pasted into the online form.

Submissions from any individual, group, business or organization may submit proposals, non-commercial in nature, on any topic. Become an active participant in the planning process by submitting your idea today. The Planning Commissioner’s Academy Planning Committee will consider the educational value of each proposal. Sessions may not include sales, commercialism or product promotion of any kind.

Additional information is available on the League website.
