Registration Now Open for Multiple League Educational Conferences

The League of California Cities® has several important events currently open for registration. These conferences will be happening this fall and in early 2017.
 
Annual Conference & Expo: Oct. 5 – 7, Long Beach
 
Online registration is now closed but on-site registration will be available in Long Beach.
 
Municipal Finance Institute: Nov. 30 – Dec.1, Monterey
 
With content designed for finance officers, treasurers, managers and all staff who assist these professionals in their stewardship of public resources. This institute may meet the qualification for continuing education for Certified Public Accountants.
 
Nov. 8 is the deadline to register. Registration includes:
  • Two days of important educational sessions which includes general sessions and breakouts;
  • One breakfast, two lunches, and a Wednesday evening reception; and
  • Electronic access to all program materials.
Fire Chiefs Leadership Seminar: Nov. 30 – Dec.1, Monterey
 
Back after a six-year hiatus, the League will hold the Fire Chiefs Leadership Seminar as a two day seminar geared for fire chiefs, chief officers, union leadership, and other fire services leaders. Presenters and topics have been selected to deliver challenging leadership topics such as succession planning, labor relations, emergency response, late breaking changes in EMS and more.
 
Nov. 8 is the deadline to register. Registration for the full conference includes:
  • Two days of educational sessions;
  • One lunch, one breakfast, and a Monday evening reception; and
  • Electronic access to all program materials.
City Clerks New Law & Elections Seminar: Nov. 30 – Dec 2, Monterey
 
This conference emphasizes new laws affecting elections, in addition to many other facets of the city clerk's roles and responsibilities such as the Fair Political Practices Commission, the Brown Act and the Public Records Act. MMC Advanced Education/Professional & Social Contribution Points and CMC Education/Experience points will be available.
 
Oct. 31 is the registration deadline. Registration includes:
  • Two and a half days of important educational sessions;
  • One breakfast, two lunches, and a Wednesday evening reception; and
  • Electronic access to all program materials.
City Managers Department Meeting: Feb. 8 – 10, Monterey 
 
The League is gearing up for the 2017 City Managers Department Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Monterey. This meeting allows city managers, assistant managers, and county chief administrative officers the opportunity to network and keep current on the wide range of issues. This is the largest gathering of managers that the League facilitates.
 
Jan. 10 is the registration deadline. Registration includes:
  • Two and a half days of educational sessions;
  • Wednesday reception, Thursday lunch, Friday breakfast; and
  • Electronic access to all program materials.
