City Officials Invited to Participate in Sept. 13 informational Webinar

September 9, 2016
The National League of Cities (NLC) will be hosting a webinar for local elected officials to learn more about NLC's Federal Advocacy Committees and the application process.

The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m.

Serving on one of NLC's seven federal advocacy committees is one of the most rewarding ways for you as a local leader to bring your expertise to the service of cities and towns at the national level. By representing your city or town and contributing your voice, you have the opportunity to shape NLC's efforts to proactively drive federal policy on issues that matter the most to cities.

The informational webinar will feature Mayor Pro Tem Sheri Capehart, Arlington, Texas, who serves as chair of NLC's Information Technology and Communications Committee as well as Commissioner Gil Ziffer, Tallahassee, Fla., who serves on NLC’s Human Development Committee.
