DOF Releases List of 2016-17 Suspended Mandates

July 7, 2016
The Department of Finance (DOF) on June 28 issued its list of state mandates suspended in the 2016 Budget Act for FY 2016-17.

This list remains unchanged from FY 2015-16.

Cities are encouraged to review the list to determine if there are potential opportunities for cost savings. When a mandate is suspended, the state no longer reimburses or requires the affected local agencies to implement the mandate.

The State Controller’s website also includes information on mandates.
