Register Today for March 12 Webinar

March 6, 2015
Local officials are invited to provide feedback to the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) proposal to remove the Broad Network HMO plans for Anthem and Blue Shield in those regions in which there is an overlap of their Narrow Networks.

This item action item will be taken up by CalPERS’ Pension and Health Benefits Committee (PHBC) on March 17.

The action will outline an approach to remove the Broad Network HMO plans for Anthem and Blue Shield in those regions in which there is an overlap of their Narrow Networks. Prior to the meeting, at CalPERS request, local officials are invited to provide feedback on this approach prior to its PHBC meeting.

The League is hosting a free one-hour webinar for local officials to receive staff analysis on this approach, including the Regions being considered, the overlap between the Broad and Narrow networks by health plan, and the potential member disruption. Written materials on the proposal will be available on the CalPERS website before the webinar.
