Earlier this month, SGC released its proposed timeline
on program guideline development workshops, approval and application deadlines, and when award recipients would be announced.
The FY 2014-15 budget agreement
between Gov. Jerry Brown and the Legislature created the AHSC program. Cap-and-Trade
auction revenues will provide $130 million in FY 2014-15 and 20 percent of auction revenues in future years to the AHSC program, which is designed to support the provision of affordable housing, transportation and other infrastructure that will result in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
SGC will hold workshops at the following locations:
Fresno – Aug. 12
Fresno City Hall, Council Chambers
2600 Fresno Street
Oakland – Aug. 14
Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG)
101 Eighth Street
Los Angeles – Aug. 15
9 a.m.–12 p.m.
California Department of Transportation, District 7 Office
100 S. Main Street
Please register in advance to save your space in the workshop as connections are limited. SGC requests no more than two registrations per organization. If you would like to send more than two representatives, please indicate so on the registration form and SGC will add additional representatives to a wait list. The wait list will be contacted in advance of the workshop if space is available. SGC will webcast and post a recording of one of the workshops on its website shortly after the meeting. Agenda and all meeting materials will be posted prior to the meetings.
