League Annual Conference Update: What’s a CityTalk?

July 14, 2014
CityTalks are back by popular demand at the 2014 Annual Conference and Expo, Sept. 3-5, in Los Angeles.

What are CityTalks? They are 20-minute sessions with a mission to spread great, concise ideas. As mini-keynotes, they have a maximum of one speaker to share one concept with a goal to change attitudes and build creativity, city by city. These talks offer inspiration and creativity, grounded in substance and/or driven by data with a touch of humor and fun.

Keep a look out for the following CityTalks being offered at this year’s annual conference:
  • Lessons from the Field: Cities for Workforce Health
  • Using Mobile Technologies to Enhance Citizens Collaboration (Engagement)
  • Public Service, Private Capital
  • Impact of Skateparks: Crime Reduction and Benefits to At-Risk Youth
  • Lunch at the Library: Sustainable Partnerships to Support Healthy Kids
  • Build Neighborhood Pride and Empower Your Community
  • Communicating Complex and Controversial Issues in an Era of Headlines
  • Regional Collaborations-Beyond Boundaries Sharing Resources in Constrained Situations
  • Retail Opportunity Site Analysis
In order to take advantage of these fantastic mini-sessions you must have registration for the conference. Secure your registration today.
