The symposium will be held on Feb. 7 at the UC Berkeley School of Law.
Presented by the League of California Cities® and the California Constitution Center of UC Berkeley School of Law, the symposium features the local government as employer, and will focus on personnel and labor relations issues specific to public entities.
The one-day program will include panels on:
Public Sector Collective Bargaining;
Contracting and Privatization;
Employee Speech, Privacy, and the Internet;
Public Safety Personnel Issues and Due Process;
Current Developments on Pension and Benefits; and
Examining Bias across the Legal System.
The symposium is approved for five and three-quarter hours MCLE credit, including the one required hour of Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession.
