2015 Ahwahnee Conference Registration Opens Dec. 16

Building Livable Communities Conference for Local Elected Officials Scheduled March 19-22

Local governments across the state are struggling to keep pace with the accelerating demographic, technological and environmental changes in their communities.
 
LGC-image.jpgThe 24th annual Ahwahneee Conference for local government officials will feature dynamic speakers and leading experts who will discuss innovative solutions for increasing resiliency and implementing smart-growth strategies in a time of rapid change.

Confirmed Speakers Include:
  • Mark "Puck" Mykleby, retired U.S. Marine Corps Col. and co-founder, Strategic Innovation Lab, Case Western University
  • Joel Makower, chair and executive editor, GreenBiz Group Inc.
  • Rick Cole, deputy mayor for Budget, Innovation & Excellence, Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti
  • Mayor Christopher Cabaldon, West Sacramento
  • Celeste Cantu, general manager, Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority
  • Lea Deesing, chief innovation officer, Riverside
  • Martha Davis, executive manager of Policy Development, Inland Empire Utilities Agency
