North Bay Division Holds Second Candidate Forum in Novato

The North Bay Division of the League of California Cities and the North Bay Leadership Council held the League’s second legislative candidate forum last Friday in Novato.
 
Seven candidates, four for the Assembly and three for the Senate, gathered for an opportunity to discuss their perspectives on a range of issues related to local government and the state-local relationship. The 90-minute forum was moderated by Judy Binsacca from the League of Women Voters.

The candidates for the Legislature included:
  • Assembly District 10: Diana Conti
  • Assembly District 10: Veronica Jacobi
  • Assembly District 10: Marc Levine
  • Assembly District 10: Erin Carlstrom
  • Senate District 2: Harry Lehmann
  • Senate District 2: Mike McGuire
  • Senate District 2: Derek Knell
Local officials and business community members from the North Bay region who wanted to learn more about the views of these prospective legislators attended the forum. The candidates answered questions from the audience on a wide range of topics that included pension, taxes, infrastructure and their priorities.
