UPDATED: Sign/Veto Request Letters & Bill Status Update

The League Urges City Officials to Act Immediately on Legislation Pending Before Gov. Jerry Brown

September 24, 2013
It is imperative that officials act without delay prior to the Governor’s Oct. 13 bill signing deadline. All 31 League-priority measures sent to Gov. Brown after the Legislature adjourned Sept. 13, are still pending action.

In previous reports the League released a list of bills requiring swift action from membership and interested stakeholders. The following list has been updated to reflect changed bill standings and provide convenient live ‘Take Action’ links. The hotlinks for each bill have a sample veto/signature request letter that can be tailored to your city or organization. Officials should send sign/veto request letters immediately to make sure the voice of local control is heard.
