Broadband Roundtable for Local Government Officials

September 24, 2013
The Local Officials Roundtable will host an event focused on the promotion of broadband access exclusively for elected city officials on Oct. 17–18 in Sacramento.

The League is sponsoring the event along with the California State Association of Counties, the Rural County Representatives of California, Valley Vision and the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF).

The two-day event for elected officials will focus on the necessity of internet access to modern society, the deployment of adoption to broadband and the challenges of closing the Digital Divide.

Discounted hotel rates are available and seating is limited to approximately 60 participants. CETF will pay for the Thursday hotel reservation and will reimburse travel expenses up to $500.

Please RSVP online. Hotels can be reserved online or by calling (916) 922-2020 and indicating state CETF Roundtable when making the reservation.

Please contact Jodi Mulligan at (916) 325-1630 or jodi.mulligan@valleyvision.org with questions or for information about travel stipends.
