Former Folsom Police Chief Sam Spiegel Appointed to 9-1-1 Advisory Board

Gov. Jerry Brown announced the appointment of Sam Spiegel to the State 9-1-1 Advisory Board, where he has served since 2005.
 
This position does not require Senate confirmation. A long-term public servant, Spiegel was chief of police and director of emergency services for the city of Folsom from 2001–2010 and interim city manager and assistant city manager for Folsom in 2006. He also held multiple positions in the city of Corona from 1971–2001, including police captain.
 
Since 2011, has Spiegel owned Public Safety Partners LLC. He is a member of the California Police Chiefs Association, chair of the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System Advisory Committee and past president of the California Peace Officers Association.
