Meeting with Senator Boxer at NLC Congressional City Conference Cancelled

March 8, 2013

Due to a last minute scheduling change, the meeting with Sen. Barbara Boxer during the National League of Cities Congressional City Conference next week has been cancelled.

California attendees are still encouraged to attend the League of California Cities’ Reception Monday evening at 6pm in Lincoln Room 6 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

In addition, the League encourages city officials to share with their congressional representatives the League’s 2013 federal priorities, and three related issue papers:

  1. Innovative Water Infrastructure Financing;
  2. Maintain Critical Federal Funding Resources; and
  3. Protect Local Authority and Revenue.

All these resources are available on the League’s federal priorities and issues page and will be available at the reception Monday night.

Two weeks ago, NLC President Marie Lopez Rogers, NLC Executive Director Clarence E. Anthony, along with President Bill Bogaard and League Executive Director Chris McKenzie issues a joint letter encouraging California City Officials to attend the conference.

For more information on the conference, please visit NLC’s website.
