Ratified by all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands, EMAC is the nation’s state-to-state mutual aid system. The webinar will be held July 11 from 10–11 a.m. Joyce Finn, the EMAC executive taskforce chair and readiness/response bureau chief in the Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division will be the main presenter.
EMAC Overview for City and County Officials will address a range of topics including:
What is EMAC;
What local officials need to know;
The importance of their relationship their state EMA;
How resources are adjudicated;
How states are a potential resource to other states in a disaster.
